Youth Events

The Ahlul Bayt Islamic Centre Youth Group was formed in December 2000 (Ramadan 1421AH). The Youth Group caters for the needs of the youth in the community between the ages of 13 and 24 years.

The Youth Group is active and vibrant and a number of activities have been organized over the past few years including a career fair, lectures on various topics, film documentaries, an Iftar program during Ramadan, an annual canoe trip, bowling, ski / tubing trip, a games night and a Mendhi program for youth girls.

The Youth Group also helps with the organization of the annual Iddul Fitr Dinner Program and has in the past been involved with the purchasing and wrapping of Idd gifts for the children of the community. In addition, the Youth Group has conducted bake sales to raise funds for various projects, including funding of youth group activities.
