In June 2008, Maulana Syed Mohammed Rizvi, the resident Alim of the ISIJ of Toronto proposed the idea of forming a Community Education Board. The sole purpose of the Board is to be the central point of contact for all ISIJ members with respect to coordinating and catering to the various educational needs of the community members of the ISIJ. The Board shall operate under the umbrella of the ISIJ of Toronto.

The Education Board has the following objectives to pursue:

• To coordinate the activities of all various educational groups affiliated with the ISIJ of Toronto.
  
  
• To create links by way of consultation and co-operation with all our resources
  
  
• To cater for Training and Developmental needs of our community members.
  
  
• To provide scholarships and bursaries for members who meet a set criterion and requirements as specified by the Board
  
  
• To provide Career counseling for members of the ISIJ

Our Goal: To enable the members of the ISIJ of Toronto, to become the most educated in all aspects, religious, secular, social and academic.

JEB is an Education Board under the Islamic Shia Ithna Asheri Jamaat of Toronto.
